Amy is a Specialist Occupational Therapist in NHS Lothian. She works in the alcohol related brain damage residential rehabilitation unit, Milestone House. For the last 2 years she has led on the service development of community follow up treatment for patients being discharged back to independent community living. She developed and facilitated the Guided Self-Discovery group programme working in partnership with the National Galleries of Scotland Communities and Access Team.

Amy is passionate about working with this underrepresented patient group and increasing awareness of alcohol related brain damage (ARBD). In addition to her clinical practice, she is currently seconded to the Training and Resource team where she works alongside clinical Psychology and Social Work to deliver training across NHS, Council and Third Sector agencies to increase knowledge and awareness of ARBD and how to work more effectively with this marginalised client group.
