Chris Gray is a Senior Lecturer in Music at the University of Aberdeen. His interest and enthusiasm for Community Music began during his undergraduate training and developed alongside his performance career (as Double Bassist and Conductor). He has created and delivered educational projects and programmes for, amongst others; Royal Conservatoire of Scotland (RCS), Glasgow City Council, Scottish Opera, Scottish Ensemble, Musicians Union (MU), Drake Music, Royal Opera House Oman (ROHO) and ArtsLink Scotland. Chris founded the RCS’s MusicWorks department overseeing its artistic and administrative development over its first ten years. He is Artistic Director of Scottish Opera’s Connect Company and is in demand as a freelance conductor, animateur and educational consultant throughout the UK and beyond.
