Sanford L. Dow is one of only 6 Texas attorneys Board Certified in Civil Trial Law, Commercial Real Estate Law, and Residential Real Estate Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. Described by ABC Channel 13 News as “the attorney you want to go to with real estate questions,” Mr. Dow is a member of the Houston Real Estate Lawyers Council, a group of preeminent Houston real estate attorneys. He has been recognized in The Best Lawyers In America in the area of real estate law for multiple consecutive years, and has been named by Texas Monthly as a “Texas Super Lawyer” for 18 straight years.
A native Houstonian who traces his roots to his grandfather emigrating through the Port of Galveston in 1904, Mr. Dow is on the Board of Directors of the Rothko Chapel (serving as Chairman of the Development Committee and co-chair of the Chapel’s 50th anniversary Gala), and is a Board member of the Blaffer Art Museum. A world traveler who has visited over 70 countries (and climbed to Mount Everest Base Camp), Mr. Dow is also a Houston Astros season ticket holder and lifelong fan. His daughter, Sarah, is a high school junior at Duchense.
